1. AN AMAKHOSI COACH PASSES AWAY

Kaizer Chiefs announced that the club's goalkeeper coach has unexpectedly passed away.

Alexandre Revoredo, who has been with Chiefs since 2016, death came as something of a shock as it was seemingly apparent he was not in any ill health.

2. IT'S ANDERSON'S TIME TO SHINE

South Africa's Kevin Anderson has sailed into the fourth round of the tennis' final Grand Slam, the US Open.

Sport24's Herman Mostert reckons that this could be Anderson's opportunity to go deep.

3. FORMER PROTEAS HAPPY WITH GIBSON

In case you haven't heard the news, the Proteas have a new coach that in former West Indian bowler Ottis Gibson.

And while others have mixed feelings over Gibson's appointment, former Proteas captain Kepler Wessels has applauded Cricket South Africa for appointing Gibson.

4. SIYA NEXT BOK SKIPPER

Former Springbok assistant coach Gary Gold feels Siya Kolisi should be leading the Springboks in the absence of Warren Whiteley.

As we know, Eben Etzebeth currently leads the Springboks, but Gold feels that this would've been the ideal opportunity to make Kolisi captain.
