A masterclass from Faf du Plessis and Leus du Plooy saw the Joburg Super Kings clinch a much-needed victory in the rain-affected SA20 encounter against MI Cape Town at Newlands on Monday.

It was a frustrating result for the hosts as persistent rain saw the match reduced to eight overs per side.

MI Cape Town, who had been sent in to bat first, made a reluctant start as they reached 43-1 before a two-hour downpour interrupted their innings.
