Cape Town - Jomo Cosmos boss Jomo Sono has confirmed the arrival of former Kaizer Chiefs winger Phakamani Mngadi who played for Amakhosi in 2014/15.
Mngadi made just one appearance that season when he came on for three minutes as a substitute under then-coach Stuart Baxter.
The 24-year-old then joined AS Eupen in Belgium for two seasons where he once again failed to establish himself.
According to Soccerway, the player has been clubless since then end of 2016/17 but now returns to professional football with Ezenkosi.
Explaining his new signings, Sono told the Sowetan: "We have a lot of changes, we have released up to 14 players and will bring in four or five, that is it.
"When you have big numbers in the squad, you have too many 'gorilla faces' [unhappy players] there, they are not playing and they will affect the others with their attitude.
"I have always worked with a smaller squad, last season we just brought in players who we hoped would be able to do a job for us because we had released 20-25 players from our time in the PSL over the previous few years.
"We started last season really well but I knew it was a fluke and would catch up with us."
