Calvin Kadi scored a brace which was enough to see off Pirates at the end of 90 minutes. The win put Wits level on points with Pirates and to make matters worse for Tinkler and his charges, The Clever Boys have a game in hand.
According to KickOff, Tinkler admits that his side’s performance was lacklustre in the first half but redeemed themselves after the break.
"First half not very good, the way we started to be honest," Tinkler said.
"A mistake from our fullback and we know these things happen, mistakes do happen. I felt sorry for the boy but we will try and lift his game to stay confident.
"But the response from anyone was not good after the first goal. We lost our discipline, we started to play a game which is not ours and we were panicking. Then we gifted them the second one, then we had to fight our way back in the game.”
