Teko extends 'Downs stay

Cape Town - It has been reported that Teko Modise has extended his stay with Mamelodi Sundowns.

Read: No Laffor contract clause

Modise’s business manager, Jazzman Mahlakgane, confirmed that the 32-year-old has agreed to stay at Chloorkop after Sundowns triggered his one-year option in his contract.

"Sundowns have taken the one-year option they had on Teko's contract,” Mahlakgane told goal.com.

“So, his contract will now expire in June next year, and then we can start negotiating for a new deal.”

Modise will line-up against Moroka Swallows when the PSL resumes next month as Sundowns continue to chase Kaizer Chiefs at the summit.

The match is scheduled for Tuesday, February 10 at the Lucas Moripe Stadium with a 19:30 kick-off time.
