Barker misses Qalinge

Cape Town - Mpumalanga Black Aces head coach Clive Barker has admitted that Orlando Pirates midfielder Thabo Qalinge will be a threat in the two side's PSL clash.

The 23-year-old, nicknamed Section 10, was a revelation for AmaZayoni last season before he made the switch to the Soweto giants for the current campaign.

Barker recognised that the speedy winger could have something to prove in his old hunting ground at the Mbombela Stadium.

"We have to keep a close eye on Section. He is finding his feet at Pirates now," the Black Aces mentor said.

"He is doing all right and the coach (Vladimir Vermezovic) has done well to keep him out of the limelight. He starts some games and comes off the bench in other matches.

"He can take players on in tight corners and he gets into good areas. He is very dangerous. I wish Qalinge was (still) with us," he added.

Kick-off is at 19:30.
