The former Orlando Pirates player has had an excellent season for the Brazilians and has three PSL nominations show for it - Midfielder of the Season, Players' Player of the Season and Nedbank Cup Player of the Tournament.

Speaking at Sundowns' media day at their Chloorkop training ground, Modise reveals that Ajax Cape Town won't be an easy opposition to beat when they clash at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

"The pressure is on us. We need to be smart on the day,” said Modise as quoted by the PSL’s official Twitter account.

"We are expected to win on Saturday so it's pressure for us.

"It's going to be a tough game for us. We know what to expect from Ajax.

"I had a great season last season. It's important to play well for the team."

It has come as a surprise to many that Sundowns have not notched up any silverware this season considering the amount of talent and money the club boasts.

The Chloorkop side have failed to lift any silverware up this season and Saturday, May 16 is their last chance to walk away with something

"We want to look back and say we won something at least.

"At the end of the day results are important. We hope Ajax come at us and we do the same.

"It's a must win on Saturday,” concludes Modise.

Kick-off is at 15:00.
