Dikwena prey on three points

Cape Town - Bloemfontein Celtic and Platinum Stars will battle for three Absa Premiership points when they meet at Free State Stadium.

Celtic recorded their first win of 2015 in their last league match when they defeated AmaZulu 3-0 at home.

The Bloemfontein side has claimed 13 points from nine home matches this season.

Their next three league opponents are Bidvest Wits (away), SuperSport United (home) and Polokwane City (away).

Phunya Sele Sele are placed eighth on the Absa Premiership log with 24 points from 19 matches.

Stars have gone six league matches without a win, with their latest result a 2-0 home loss to Orlando Pirates.

The Rustenburg side has claimed seven points from nine away matches this season.

Their next three league opponents are Moroka Swallows (home), University of Pretoria (away) and Maritzburg United (home).

Dikwena are placed 15th on the Absa Premiership log with 18 points from as many matches.

In head-to-head stats, Celtic and Stars have met in 21 league matches since 2004/05.

Each side has claimed seven wins in that sequence, with the remaining seven matches ending in draws.

Celtic have won five of their 10 home matches against Stars, suffering four defeats in the process.

When the teams met earlier this season in Rustenburg they played to a goalless stalemate.

Kick-off is at 15:30 on Sunday, March 1.
