Break kills momentum - Vilakazi

Johannesburg - Bidvest Wits captain Sibusiso Vilakazi reveals that the on and off schedule of the PSL kills momentum.

Wits were in action two-weeks ago when they faced Orlando Pirates and lost 1-0 in the dying minutes of the encounter.

“Obviously the breaks are killing the momentum whereby you don't have a good run," Vilakazi tells KickOff.

"If you have a good run you won't be able to sustain it, because you have breaks.”

Wits will look to bounce back to winning form in the Absa Premiership when they host AmaZulu at Bidvest Stadium.

The Clever Boys are placed fourth on the Absa Premiership log with 10 points from six matches.

In head-to-head stats, Wits and AmaZulu have met in 51 league matches since 1985.

The Clever Boys have 19 wins compared to 12 for Usuthu, while 20 matches have been drawn.

Wits have won 13 of their 26 home matches against AmaZulu, suffering just five defeats down the years.

Last season the Johannesburg side took four points off their Durban counterparts, drawing 1-1 in Gauteng before a 1-0 win in the return match in KwaZulu-Natal.

Kick-Off is scheduled for Friday, September 26 at 20:00.
