"I want everyone to form part of this club and I invite the fans to participate in this project," Ronaldo said.

"Give us ideas, opinions, criticism and your hopes. I want you to be part of the present and future of Real Valladolid.

"Count on us to consolidate Real Valladolid in the top-flight of Spanish football and then to keep building dreams. With the union between all I am convinced it will be very difficult to beat us."

"We want to put together the best possible team to compete and clearly inform our management team. There will be a clear message in all our future actions."

Valladolid president Carlos Suarez said: "Today is a starting point. Ronaldo has personally acquired 51% of Real Valladolid.

"He is an idol that loves and spreads dreams."
