Several players are being linked with moves away from Saracens after confirmation that they will be relegated from the Premiership due to due to breaching the competition's salary cap.
Afrikaans newspaper Rapport reported on Sunday that the Bulls are not entirely happy with their second row depth for Super Rugby and would like to bring the 2.03m, 125kg Skelton on board.
However, it may prove a fight to acquire Skelton’s signature, with Australian and European clubs also keen to sign the player.
According to Fox Sports, the 27-year-old’s contract with Saracens is worth around £400 000 a year (about R7.5-million).
Skelton played 18 Tests for the Wallabies between 2014 and 2016. He played Super Rugby for the Waratahs between 2013 and 2017 before joining Saracens.
This report follows on news last week that the Bulls were also interested in luring Saracens' Springbok prop Vincent Koch to Pretoria.
