The Rugby World Cup-winning second-row star confirmed on social media this week that his wife Constance is pregnant.
The couple tied the knot in January 2017.
De Jager, 27, was an integral member of the 2019 World Cup Springbok squad, helping the team to a third title in Yokohama in November last year.
To date De Jager, who stands 2.06m tall bare-footed, has donned the Springbok jersey on 45 occasions.
He has also represented the Cheetahs and Bulls at Super Rugby level, but now plies his trade at the Sale Sharks in England.
Congratulations to the De Jagers from everyone at Sport24!
