Cape Town - Proteas opening batsman Aiden Markram has been called up to the Titans squad for their One Day Cup clash against the Dolphins in Durban this week.

The 25-year-old went under the knife after sustaining a fracture to his left finger during the first Test against England in Centurion this past Boxing Day.

Prior to the Centurion Test, Markram punched a door after two ducks against India in September, which saw him ruled out of that series as well as December's Mzansi Super League.

Markram has not played any cricket since December last year.

The Titans, who are currently fourth on the One Day Cup standings, take on the log leaders at Kingsmead on Thursday (13:30).
