Lions and Proteas pacer Sisanda Magala has opened up on the "thorny topic" of his ongoing struggles to convince the national selectors of his fitness.

Magala was jettisoned from the Proteas ODI squad last month for the Bangladesh series on fitness grounds, a snub he responded to with 21 wickets in the Lions' successful conquest of the Cricket South Africa 1-Day Cup.
