Absa Premiership side Orlando Pirates on Tuesday lifted the suspension of attacker Thembinkosi Lorch after being excluded from the Premier Soccer League (PSL) bio-safe environment for breaching team protocols.
"Thembinkosi Lorch has been cleared to return to the squad following the finalisation of the disciplinary proceedings against him and the lifting of his suspension by the club," Pirates said in a statement.
"Lorch has pleaded guilty to all charges that were brought against him by the club. Lorch further apologised for his misdemeanor and has accepted the sanction imposed on him by the club.
"The 25-year-old has joined the squad in the BSE bubble after undergoing his two Covid-19 tests as per the protocols.
"Meanwhile, the club can confirm that Justin Shonga remains suspended as he awaits the finalisation of the disciplinary proceedings against him.
Pirates had initially suspended the duo on 11 August and dropped from the Pirates squad "following a breach of the team’s protocols."
