Cape Town - Hull City and Burnley played out an action-packed and hard fought 1-1 draw in Saturday's Premier League encounter at the KCOM Stadium.

In a tight affair at the KCOM Stadium it would be Hull who would threaten first when Ahmed Elmohamady's cross found Dieumerci Mbokani but he headed just over in the 15th minute.

Seven minutes later they had another opportunity when Elmohamady found Mbokani again, but the striker's effort was blocked. The ball dropped to Kamil Grosicki who his effort over the bar with goalkeeper Tom Heaton out of position.

It wasn't until late in the first half when Burnley would fashion a real opening. From Joey Barton's free-kick, Ben Mee hit an effort into Eldin Jakupovic who spilled the catch. From the rebound, Ashley Barnes was unable to get the ball on target.

Just before the break, Grosicki hit a powerful free-kick that whistled just wide with Heaton seemingly beaten. After the interval, Andre Gray saw his shot go narrowly wide after he was put through on goal by Ashley Westwood.

It was end-to-end stuff as Grosicki went close when he saw his curling effort go just over the bar from Mbokani's lay off in the 61st minute. Hull would then take the lead in the 72nd minute when Keane was blown up for a handball in the box, and Huddlestone finished off the penalty.

Keane would turn from villain to hero in the 76th minute when he picked up a loose ball at the far post to fire home an equaliser. There were few further alarms in the closing stages as both teams settled for a point in Kingston upon Hull.
