When Springbok assistant coach Mzwandile Stick said before the Rugby World Cup final against New Zealand that the team that wins the tournament will have eight years of bragging rights, he wasn't wrong. 

With the Springboks going about their title defence the hard way by winning their playoff games by a point each, they gained the right to make the rugby world literally green (and gold) with envy.
