Cape Town - The Southern Kings have a clean bill of health heading into their PRO14 clash against Connacht on Saturday.

There were not many positives to take from their 57-10 opening weekend thrashing at the hands of the defending champion Scarlets in round one, but coach Deon Davids is at least boosted by the news that his whole squad is fit and firing.

"Fortunately there weren't any major injuries, just a few bumps and bruises and a couple of niggles," Kings team doctor Clement Plaatjies said.

"Nothing that's going to keep any of the players out next week ... everybody is is full training."

Connacht also lost the first match of their season when they were edged 18-12 by Dave Rennie's Glasgow Warriors at home in round one.

Kick-off on Saturday will be at 20:35 (SA time).
