South Africa's action-starved non-URC unions are likely to, justifiably, wash their hands of any guilt over an apparent impasse between MyPlayers and SA Rugby and the South African Rugby Employers' Organisation (SAREO) regarding player welfare ahead of the Currie Cup later this year.
According to a report by Netwerk24 last week, the players' organisation noted in correspondence to the other two parties that it was pursuing "formal arbitration" over the federation's decision to organise a formal playing window for the hallowed but increasingly beleaguered domestic competition between July and September.
