Cape Town - Baroka FC CEO Morgan Mamilla has confirmed that the club is keen on acquiring the services of Uganda striker Geofrey Massa from Bloemfontein Celtic.
Phunya Sele Sele have placed the bulky forward on the transfer list after spending two seasons at the club and failing to make an impact at the club.
Mamilla said Baroka would not be looking to sign any Premiership rejects, but would make an exception with Massa.
"We don't want players that were released by their teams, in fact I don't want any PSL player, the only PSL player I'm looking to sign is Geofrey Massa," Mamilla told KickOff.
"Bringing him here won't be easy but don't rule it out yet, it might still happen. I have been talking to him since last year actually.
"The reason he didn't have a good season at Celtic is because he didn't play much last season. He only played eight games and scored two goals.
"He is currently back in the country, we are only waiting for him to sort out his financial issues with Celtic then we will sign him. He has personally agreed to give us a first option to sign him."
