According to KickOff, Chokoe says that the midfielder is a versatile player and has great attributes.

“I believe he will succeed at Pirates,” Chokoe said.

“Pirates believe in young midfielders; guys like Manyisa, Masalesa and Ntshumayelo all went there as youngsters.

“Motupa can play as an attacking midfielder, but also a holding midfield position. He has high work-rate, is a good listener and follows instructions.”

Sport24 reported that Boroka chairman, Khurishi Mphahlele, confirmed that Pirates secured the services of Motupa in principle.

“We agreed in principle. We are just waiting for the lawyer to draft the contract then everything will be finalised.”
