Khune signs R470k contract - reports

Cape Town - Itumeleng Khune has signed a five-year contract with Kaizer Chiefs, according to reports.

Khune held Chiefs ransom throughout the entire 2014/15 PSL season having been in the final year of his contract with the club.

The goalkeeper took things a step further when he decided against renewing his deal with his contract having expired at the end of June.

Whilst Khune’s agent was still in negotiations with Chiefs, Sport24 reported that the 'keeper was holding out for a cool R7.8m a year.

However, last week Chiefs confirmed that the Bafana Bafana shot-stopper has agreed a deal in principle to re-sign with Naturena side.

Reports suggest in that Khune has penned a deal with Amakhosi and will now instead pocket R470 000 a month.
