According to Goal.com, the defender said that last season’s poor league campaign has been chalked down to a learning curving.

“We know where we went wrong and we take it as a learning curve and we are building from it," Hendricks said.

Swallows avoided relegation and ended the 2013/14 Absa Premiership season in a lowly 13th spot and he is confident that the team's new recruits will boost the Dube Birds' drive for a top four spot this season.

“We had a discussion as players and felt fourth position is achievable and we'd need to work as a team to achieve that goal.”

Swallows next encounter is against Chippa United on Sunday, September 14 at 15:00.
