Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town head coach Roger De Sa was unhappy with his side's inability to convert chances in their 1-0 loss to Maritzburg United.

De Sa is convinced the Urban Warriors created enough chances to win the game at Harry Gwala Stadium, but poor finishing cost them dearly.

Despite their profligacy, Ajax came within a hair's width of grabbing an important point away from home, but were denied by Mahua Mokete, who score the only goal of the game deep into injury time at the end of the second half.

"Absolutely we had enough chances to wrap the game even in the first half," De Sa told the SABC.

"Listen, you have to score to win and at the end of the day if you don't score what matters tomorrow on your article you will say Maritzburg one, Ajax nil."

After the loss, Ajax Cape Town sit in sixth place on the log with three games left to play.

The Urban Warriors have a four point lead over ninth placed, Polokwane City, in their bid to seal a place in the lucrative PSL Top 8.
