Celtic's Mzava in Aces deal

Cape Town - Bloemfontein Celtic will lose their Malawi-born defender Limbikani Mzava to Black Aces at the end of the season.

Celtic coach Clinton Larsen, who brought the player to Phunya Sele Sele in his previous spell as head coach in 2011, had hoped the 21-year-old left-back would remain in the Free State capital, but was unable to stop him signing a deal with the Mpumalanga club.

"Yes, it is true,” Larsen told goal.com.

“He (Mzava) has signed a pre-contract with Aces and will be joining them at the end of the season.

“The club did offer him a new and improved contract to the one he was on and he refused to accept it.

"So, we did everything in our power to keep him, but sadly he had other ambitions and we couldn't stand in his way in letting him attain those."
