What a derby it was! There was a colossal battle up front but the Bulls had the better of the Sharks in the offence department. Thanks for joining us!
The Bulls secure the ball at the back of he line-out and wind down the clock. The hooter sounds and van Zyl drills the ball into the stands.
The Sharks rumble it up but there is yet another steal from the Bulls! That could be the final roll of the dice for the home side.
Nyakane nearly effects a steal after a couple phases from the Sharks but Peyper blasts his whistle, saying everyone is off their feet. Scrum down to the Sharks, 18m out from the Bulls' try line.
Again Coetzee is working hard in the darkroom, winning a penalty for the home side. A great touch finder from Cronje set up the line-out on the Bulls' 22m line.
PENALTY, BULLS, POLLARD, 10-17: What a strike from the Springbok flyhalf. Over with plenty to spare.
Arno Botha, having just got a boot to the face, contests well at the breakdown, earning a penalty. Pollard lines it up, but it is close to touch and very far out.
It is away to the left and the home crowd sighs. The Bulls go deep on the restart. They gather possession but knock it on.
There is a break in play is the referees again check for foul play. There is a foot on a Bulls' players face, but it was completely accidental. The flanker, thankfully, is up running.
This time it is Stegman's turn to be penalised for hands in the ruck. Replacement fly-half Cronje stands over this kick from about 50m out on the angle.
PENALTY, BULLS, POLLARD, 10-14: No mistakes this time.
Peyper pings the Sharks for putting their hands in the ruck. It was Coetzee, his knee was just on the ground there, but it is a tough call. Pollard lines up the penalty.
The Bulls take it up through Odendaal. A couple phases later Pollard chips it through but it is well fielded by Sithole, who runs his way out of trouble. Zeilinga then clears to touch.
The Bulls knock it on at the line-out. They scrum down just outside the Sharks 22m. Zeilinga clears down the middle of the park and the Bulls run it back into the Sharks half.
And it is away to the left. Very disappointing from the Sharks pivot, it was a fairly straightforward kick.
A promising attack from the Sharks ends when the Bulls infringe at ruck time. Zeilinga grabs the kicking tee.
Zeilinga clears but the ball is not out and the Bulls rumble it up to the halfway line. There is another high bomb for Basson, but Marais gathers. He goes to ground and holds on. Peyper signals a knock on from the Bulls.
Sharks captain Wentzel plays the man in the air and Pollard has a chance to stretch the Bulls' lead.
A miss! That is a rare miss there from the reliable number 10. The Sharks go short on the restart but the Bulls gather and are back on attack. Odendaal tries a grubber but the ball goes out on the full.
The Bulls win an attacking line-out after Reinach kick the ball out on the full. They are 10m outside of the Sharks 22m.
Mvovo finds space on the outside and opts to kick ahead, but the ball wins the race to the try line and Kriel dots it down for a restart.
Kriel and Marais get involved in a kicking battle, with the former putting it out on the Sharks 10m line. The Bulls make the steal at the line-out but the Bulls'' backs pass it forward. They scrum down 10m in from the nearside touchline and 10m in Bulls territory.
But the Bulls respond with some attacking enterprise of their own through Stegman.
PENALTY, BULLS, POLLARD, 10-11: The Sharks go off their feet at the ruck and the Springbok pivot makes them pay.
CONVERSION, SHARKS, ZEILINGA, 10-8: Much better from the number 10.
TRY, SHARKS, COETZEE, 8-8: Reinach slide through a gap, sells a dummy and gets a classy offload to the loose forward who ran a good support line. Quality stuff!
Zeilinga gets the second forty underway, kicking from left to right.
The Bulls have just reward for the dominance in the opening forty. While the Sharks can be proud of their defence, they need to be much more accurate on attack if they are to win this game.
There are a number of handling errors leading to a scrum at which the Sharks are penalised for shoving early. Pollard puts up the high ball as the hooter goes and the home side secure possession and chip the ball into the stands.
TRY, BULLS, HOUGAARD, 3-8: Paige darted down the blindside before handing off to his winger who popped it back to him. Paige made more metres before summing up the situation brilliantly and popping it back to his winger who ran in for great try in the corner.
Staunch defence from the Sharks leads to another penalty. Zeilinga fails to find touch, but the Bulls kick the ball back to him anyway and the Sharks tun it up. Their attack is stopped when hands let them down. It is a scrum near the Bulls 22m.
Pollard puts a clever chip through, which runs into touch in the Sharks 22m. The Sharks secure the ball at the line-out and Reinach clears the pressure to the 10m line.
PENALTY, BULLS, POLLARD, 3-3: du Plessis is penalised for not binding and the Bulls pivot makes them pay from 45m out.
It is a huge scrum from the Bulls but they decide to send it wide and Pollard puts up a high ball. Marais knocks it on and we are scrumming again, just inside the Sharks half.
The Sharks try not move the ball quickly but Marais runs into the back of his own player during the confusion. They scrum down 5m in from the far touchline, just inside the Bulls half.
The Sharks somehow secure possession and earn a kickable penalty, which Zeilinga pushes wide.
The Bulls secure the ball but the Sharks defence remains resolute. Pollard drops back into the pocket for the drop goal attempt, which he misses. Marais opts for the 22m drop out.
There is a break in play as the referees search for foul play, of which there is none. Peyper goes back to the original penalty for hands in the ruck from Coetzee.
The Sharks try to get the maul going from the line-out but the Bulls do well to diffuse it, eventually leading to a turnover from a massive tackle on Zeilinga.
PENALTY, SHARKS, ZEILINGA, 3-0: A good strike and a good result for the home side, especially against the run of play.
There is a long passage of play with the Sharks enjoying some ball and taking it up through Reinach. Stegman is pinged for an early tackle, giving Zeilinga a chance to put the first points on the board.
There is a nice variation at the back of the line-out but van der Merwe knocks it on! Big let off for the Sharks there.
Again the Bulls are hot on attack just 5m from the line but Coetzee gets the turn for the Sharks! However, Zeilinga's kick does not find touch and the Bulls run it back. Eventually there is a penalty for the visitors at ruck time. They set up he attacking line-out just 5m out.
They regain possession from the line-out but again the attack goes nowhere. Zeilinga tries a cross kick but it is a poor one.
The Bulls are enjoying a good passage of possession, taking it through 13 phases with Odendaal contributing a couple times as they take it into the Sharks 22m. But the Sharks earn a turnover penalty at the ruck.
The Sharks secure possession but look blunt on attack before hands let them down. Scrum time in the middle of the park.
There are a number of resets before Greyling is penalised for hinging. Zeilinga sets up the attacking line-out on the Bulls 10m line.
A move from the Bulls down the touchline leads to the first scrum of the game after they knock it on. It is Sharks ball, 5m in from the nearside touchline and just inside their half.

Hello and welcome to our coverage of the Sharks and Bulls match from Growthpoint Kings Park in Durban.
Rested Springboks Handré Pollard and Adriaan Strauss are back in the Bulls? starting team. Jacques-Louis Potgieter drops out because of injury and Callie Visagie moves to the bench. The other changes to the starting line-up are at flank, lock and tighthead prop, where Jacques du Plessis (for Arno Botha), Flip van der Merwe (for Du Plessis) and Marcel van der Merwe (for Trevor Nyakane) will start. Botha, Nyakane and Lappies Labuschagne have been included on the bench while Hanro Liebenberg is not involved this week.
For the home side, the return of Springbok props Tendai Mtawarira and Jannie du Plessis, for Dale Chadwick and Lourens Adriaanse respectively, are the only changes to the Sharks? starting team. Adriaanse moves to the bench where he is joined by SP Marais, in for Jack Wilson. Chadwick drops out of the match-23 completely.
It is a pearler of a day in Durban, with conditions under-foot great for running rugby. There is, however, a slight breeze for he kicker to consider.
