Rhodes hearing postponed

Cape Town - The disciplinary hearing for Western Province forward Michael Rhodes, scheduled to take place on Tuesday, has been postponed until Thursday.

Rhodes was cited on Monday for a dangerous tackle in the Currie Cup final against the Sharks in Cape Town last Saturday.

He was penalised in second half for placing his arm around Sharks hooker Bismarck du Plessis’ neck in a maul and maintaining his grip for a few seconds, which is in breach of law 10.4 (e) relating to dangerous tackling.

Rhodes’ hearing will take place on Thursday at 11:00 in Cape Town. Adv Donny Jacobs has been appointed the Judicial Officer.

Rhodes was earlier this season banned for one week for stamping on Blue Bulls captain Jono Ross.
