As it happened: WP v Sharks

Rhodes was penalised in second half for placing his arm around Sharks hooker Bismarck du Plessis’ neck in a maul and maintaining his grip for a few seconds, which is in breach of law 10.4 (e) relating to dangerous tackling.

The player will appear before a SARU disciplinary committee on Tuesday at 15:00 in Cape Town. Adv Donny Jacobs has been appointed the Judicial Officer.

Rhodes was earlier this season banned for one week for stamping on Blue Bulls captain Jono Ross.
