Cape Town - Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson, along with club's Twitter account, took time to congratulate Wayde van Niekerk on winning gold at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

The South African athlete finished his 400m race in a world record time of 43.03.
Michael Johnson's previous record stood for 17 years.
The 24-year-old Van Niekerk is a huge Liverpool supporter and the Premier League club, along with Henderson, took to social media to praise the sprinter's feat.
"Congratulations to @waydedreamer on becoming Olympic champion and setting new world record. Amazing performance from a big LFC fan," said Henderson on Instagram.
"43.03! Congratulations to massive Red @WaydeDreamer on Olympic #Gold & your new world record at #Rio2016," a Twitter post from Liverpool's official account.
On the same day, Liverpool defeated Premier League rivals Arsenal in their opening English Premiership fixture at the Emirates Stadium in London.
Van Niekerk says he has 'a lot to brag about' now that Liverpool floored the Gunners and having claiming the 400m world record.
