Cape Town - Bookmakers can't separate Kevin Anderson and his Wimbledon semi-final opponent, John Isner.

Friday's showdown promises to be a humdinger as both beanpoles go in search of a maiden Wimbledon final.

At 2.03m-tall, Anderson, the eighth-seed, is 'dwarfed' by his 2.08m ninth-seeded opponent.

Anderson is a coming off a shock quarter-final victory over the King of Wimbledon, eight-time champion Roger Federer, while Isner's path his the last four was less dramatic after he beat Canada's Milos Raonic.

Isner holds an 8-3 win record over Anderson, but they've only ever faced each other once on grass (in 2008, Isner won), and their last encounter was more than three years ago.

Leading SA bookies BET.co.za believe the match is too close to assign a favourite, with both players on offer at 17/20.

The match is scheduled to start at 14:00 SA time.

In the second semi-final, world No 1 Rafael Nadal, a two-time Wimbledon champion, takes on 12th-seeded three-time winner, Novak Djokovic.

BET.co.za have Djokovic as a narrow 4/5 favourite, with Nadal on offer at 9/10.
