Cape Town - Bidvest Wits coach, Gavin Hunt, is impressed with the work rate of veteran midfielder, Lerato Chabangu, who has been training with the Braamfontein-based team in a bid to win a contract.
Sport24 has been informed that Hunt is impressed with the dreadlocked midfielder, whose contract with Moroka Swallows is ending on June 30 and is looking for a new home following the Dube Birds’ relegation to the National First Division.
Chabangu had made it clear before Swallows were relegated that he will seek new challenge for the 2015/16 season.
“Gavin knows the player very well as they have worked together during their time at SuperSport United and it looks they will offer him a contract once his deal with Swallows is over,” the source said.
“The player has been working hard at our pre-season training and the Gavin is impressed with his work rate.”
