Cape Town - Bloemfontein Celtic have bolstered their squad ahead of the new Premiership season with the signing of Robert Sankara from Free State Stars.
Sankara becomes the ninth player to have been snapped up by Serame Letsoaka's side in the current transfer windows, following the recent acquisitions of Nicholas Sibanda, Cheslyn Jampies, Sibusiso Mxoyana, Tlou Molekwane, Mpho Maruping, Deon Hotto, Khetowakhe Masuku and Atusaye Nyondo.
Siwelele confirmed that the 31-year-old defender has signed a contract which will keep him at Siwelele until 2018.
"Robert Sankara puts pen to paper for @Bloem_Celtic on a 2 year deal. #COOMotsamaiWelcomesSankara. #LoveSiwelele," the club said on Twitter account.
Having plied his trade at clubs in the Ivory Coast and Sudan, Sankara's wealth of experience will be key for Letsoaka's team if they are to improve on their 11th-placed finish in the league last season.
