The Cheetahs, in the imperfect railway line that is rugby, have been seen as nothing more than an infrequently used goods siding when paired with the bigger stations like the Stormers, Lions and Bulls.

On Sunday, though, the big European train will finally make a stop in Mangaung when the Cheetahs host the Sharks in a Challenge Cup game.

The Lions and Cheetahs weren't engaged in a South African catfight derby in the competition despite being in the same pool.
