Sports, Arts and Culture Minister Zizi Kodwa said he awaits more clarity from SA Rugby regarding their equity movements with the Ackerleys Sports Group (ASG) and CVC Capital.

SA Rugby is currently in negotiations with the Seattle-based ASG as the preferred bidder, but the conversations around the bids haven't just rattled some of SA Rugby's members, but the minister, who told News24 that he was surprised at how he has publicly learnt of the discussions.

Kodwa expressed his dissatisfaction with how the matter has unfolded during his speech at the SA Rugby Awards in Randburg on Thursday where lock and new father Eben Etzebeth was the big winner.
