When they were working around the clock to document the Springboks' improbable World Cup win in 2019, the folks at T+W Productions and SuperSport can't have imagined being in a similar race against time to do the same four years later.

Much like the Boks found themselves walking the tightrope of trying to retrace their steps as they also sought to make new ones in their attempts to repeat the heroics of Japan in France last year, the company that brought us Chasing the Sun was on its own quest to go back-to-back, having produced a documentary which went on to attain cult status with South Africa as a whole, let alone its rugby fans.

Looking back at how the Boks became only the second team in history to successfully defend their title, to a man they all said the most difficult thing about it was the burden of expectation.
