Pretoria Boys High School's decline as a rugby force continued unabated after being subjected to a heavy 73-10 loss to Paarl Gimnasium on the final day of the Noord-Suid schools rugby tournament at the Afrikaans Seun's Hoërskool (Affies) in Pretoria on Tuesday.

Affies hasn't been a kind place for the Candies, with last year's visit to their Afrikaans cross-town rivals resulting in a heavy 76-24 end-of-season defeat, while their Under-16A side conceded triple figures (104-0) without firing a shot.

Having lost their opening game 24-12 to George's Outeniqua and yet to register a win this season after losing their opening game 36-20 to Jeppe High School for Boys, Paul Anthony's charges were always going to struggle.
