Melbourne - The Australian Rugby Union (ARU) has confirmed the roof will be closed for Saturday's second Test against the British and Irish Lions at the Docklands stadium.

The forecast for Saturday in Melbourne is for isolated showers to develop in the evening. The match is scheduled to begin at 20:00 local time (12:00 SA time).

The last time the teams played at Docklands in 2001, Australia won 35-14 under a closed roof to level the series 1-1. Australia went on to win that series 2-1.

Last week, replacement Wallabies fullback Kurtley Beale slipped on the damp turf in Brisbane while attempting a penalty goal as time expired, missing the kick and allowing the Lions to win the first Test 23-21.
