Imagine being American billionaire Todd Boehly and getting laughed off stage at the mere suggestion that the English Premier League experiment with a North vs South All-Star Game, similar to the NBA’s.

Boehly made the suggestion in September last year, months after his joint acquisition of London-based club Chelsea, and was already thinking of ways to Americanise the Premier League and boost its already bloated commercial prospects.
