Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio is not just a leading female in South African cycling, but a rider familiar with shining on the international stage.
But, despite the accolades, the 37-year-old Moolman-Pasio always wanted to do more and give back, especially to her homeland. It led to a collaboration between Khaltsha Cycles in Khayelitsha, Cape Town, and Rococarbo Collective, a business run by Moolman-Pasio and her husband.
The pro cyclist revealed to News24 that Khaltsha Cycles reached out via Twitter, leading to the initiative to empower 30 young women through cycling.
