Cape Town - Midfielder Teboho Mokoena scored a contender for "goal of the season" in the dying minutes of a thrilling Absa Premiership clash as he handed SuperSport United a 3-2 win over Golden Arrows at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium on Sunday.
Matsatsantsa opened the scoring in the 27th minute as Aubrey Modiba put in a delightful ball up for Evans Rusike, who guided the ball home with his head.
Just two minutes later, the visitors doubled their lead with Modiba again proving influential as Mxolisi Macuphu found the back f the net with an accurate header.
Forward Knox Mutizwa pulled a goal back for Arrows from the penalty spot calmly driving the ball home into the right hand side of the net to make it 2-1 in the 56th minute.
Danny Venter then provided a superb cross for a charging Seth Parusnath, who executed a glancing header, sending the Arrows faithful into raptures.
United’s Mokoena though produced a piece of magic, shooting from over 30 yards out and curling the ball into the top left corner for what surely has to be a contender for the goal of the season.
