Usuthu not going to Goble Park to sleep, says Ouro-Akoriko

Cape Town - AmaZulu defender Sedat Ouro-Akoriko says Usuthu won't rest on their laurels when they take on Free State Stars at Goble Park on Saturday in the Absa Premiership.

The outfit from Durban come into the contest having beaten former PSL leaders Bidvest Wits at the King Zwelethini Stadium last weekend.

Meanwhile, Stars are currently embroiled in a battle against Relegation. Ea Lla Koto lost their last league outing to SuperSport United last Sunday.

Speaking to his club's official website, Ouro-Akoriko said the side had every intention to be competitive in Bethlehem.

He said: "It will be a difficult game for us but we are not going there to sleep, we are going to fight for maximum points.

"I believe that in the last match we were able to implement the coach's instructions on the field to the best of our abilities and I believe that if we work hard enough during training, we can produce another quality performance.

"We will give the opposing team the respect that they deserve but we will also not become too comfortable that we lose our concentration on the field."

Kick-off is at 15:30.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
