Uruguayan striker on trial with SuperSport United

Cape Town - Uruguayan striker Martin Bueno is on trial with SuperSport United after not signing a contract during his initial assessment with Polokwane City.

According to reports, Bueno performed well on trial with Rise and Shine but reportedly chose not to pen any deal with the outfit from Limpopo.

The 28-year-old scored 12 goals in 16 matches last season for Hamilton Wanderers in New Zealand's Premier League but now appears to be chasing a lucrative offer in South African football.

A source told KickOff: "Bueno is nolonger training with Polokwane City.He is now training with SuperSport United.

"It's still not clear if they will sign or not with SuperSport."

It appears coach Kaitano Tembo is searching for one more striker to add support to the likes of Thamsanqa Gabuza and Bradley Grobler.

Ashanti Gold SC striker Shafiu Mumuni was recently on trial but did not impress enough to earn a deal.
