Amakhosi Chairman, Kaizer Mataung, confirmed a complete overhaul in the clubs dressing room as Mandla Masango, Mashamaite, Katlego Mphela, Siyabonga Nkosi, Josta Dladla, Itumeleng Khune and Phakamani Mngadi will all leave the club.

“There were offers for Tefu Mashamaite, figures were now being inflated because of the Agent percentages,” said Motaung at the clubs press conference on Tuesday.

“With Mashamaite, we made an offer and his agent made a counter-offer. We exceeded that offer but there was a delay,

“We realised it's no longer about the integrity, he will be leaving."

“We decided that we cannot go forward and therefore we have terminated negotiations as far as Mashamaite is concerned.”

Mashamaite's current deal with Chiefs will expire at the end of June. The defender will then be a free agent and be allowed to join any team.

It has been reported that the defender is being touted by Mamelodi Sundowns who are looking to replace their outgoing defender-captain, Alje Schut.
