Cape Town - SuperSport United winger Thuso Phala is set for a return to training on Monday after it was resolved that he do so following a disciplinary hearing.
The forward, who has featured 11 times in all competitions in 2018/19, has been absent without leave after a falling out with coach Kaitano Tembo.
He then faced an internal DC where all parties involved agreed he should honour the remainder of his contract.
The 32-year-old had been linked with a move to Highlands Park and Orlando Pirates in the January transfer window.
His mother Suzan Phala told Kickoff: "He's still contracted to SuperSport.
"They've agreed [to honour the contract]. He is still there with SuperSport up until his contract ends. I think from Monday he will start training."
Meanwhile, SSU media officer Brian Moshoeshoe said an official statement would be issued in the near future.
He said: "The club will release a statement about the whole situation, but for now we can't comment on anything as yet. We will release a statement in due time."
