Cape Town - Orlando Pirates midfielder Fortune Makaringe believes the Soweto giants are currently going through a "difficult phase" but is positive that they will get through it.
Makaringe joined the Buccaneers from Maritzburg United before the start of the current campaign and has yet to taste a victory in his three appearances so far.
The midfielder has seen head coach Milutin Sredojevic leave the club and then assistant Rulani Mokwena take over but they have since been knocked out of the MTN8 and Caf Champions League.
Makaringe said on the club's app: "I knew very well coming here that to play for Pirates comes with a lot of expectations.
"There are too many Buccaneers all around the continent that look to us to give positive results.
"I think and believe that we are still going to do well. The performances have been coming, we have just been unfortunate.
"The team has been going through a very difficult phase, so that has been very tough.
"But we are still going to try and make sure that we give good results to finish right there at the top."
Pirates will hope to get back on the winning trail when they host Chippa United on Saturday.
