68' CHANCE! Motshwari is played in beautifully from midfield but Mathoho is clinging onto the forward who attempts to dink it over Akpeyi but his effort its the roof of the net.
Better from the Buccaneers!
10' CHANCE! Lorch bursts forward and makes a good enough run and space to slot the ball towards Motshwari, who takes a touch or two too much and sees his shot blocked by a sea of yellow jerseys.
Nyatama rides the challenge & sets Bucs away on the counter. The ball lands with Pule who controls & looks for a gap for the pass. He cuts inside & wins a corner. The ball comes back into the path of Mlambo who feeds wide to Ndengane but his cross is over the line. Goal kick— Orlando Pirates FC (@orlandopirates) February 9, 2019

Maela bursts through the midfield, looking for the return ball but Cardoso gets in the way & the Bucs win a throw in.
2' Shaky start by Pirates in defence as Castro makes a move forward as Parker slides a through ball towards the Colombian. However, nothing serious comes off the attack as Pirates recover the ball with intent.
This actually is absurd.
Each fixture between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates in the last two years has been delayed to start by 10/15 minutes.
This needs to stop!
We're into five minutes of stoppage time at the end of a thrilling Soweto Derby at FNB Stadium. I wonder whether or not some of that is carried over from the first half, although there have been plenty of stoppages in this one too.
Jele picks up a yellow card, which appears to be for dissent after play is stopped so that Billiat can receive medical attention.
SAVE! Both teams are still chasing a winner as we head into what will probably be the final seconds of the game... Billiat goes for a speculative shot! Sandilands saves!
FULL-TIME: KAIZER CHIEFS 1-1 ORLANDO PIRATES. A thrilling Soweto Derby ends all square after Lorch's equaliser cancelled out Cardoso's penalty. It was a game filled with twists and turns and the sell-out crowd has received value for money.
Chiefs are still pushing for a winner. Katsande misses a ball into the danger area, and with it, a chance to score from close range!
Pirates give the ball away to Billiat in a dangerous area. The Zimbabwean looks to pick out Parker with a cross from the right, but overhits it! He'll be kicking himself!
Milutin Sredojevic makes his final substitution, bringing Munetsi on in place of Shonga. The Serbian coach has decided to tighten up after going all out to get that equaliser.
Indeed, Lorch has picked up a yellow card for his celebration. Meanwhile, Mphahlele is on in place of Ekstein for Kaizer Chiefs.
GOAL, PIRATES, LORCH! 1-1: At last, the killer ball in behind the Chiefs defence is found! Lorch rounds Akpeyi and scores! He takes his shirt off in celebration, which will surely earn him a yellow card, but Pirates are level!
SAVE! At the other end, Akpeyi makes a good save to keep out Mulenga's strike.
Kaizer Chiefs so nearly catch Pirates out with too many bodies forward. Ekstein is just unable to put enough on his pass as Chiefs surge into the danger area. The move is cut out.
Chiefs are still threatening at the other end. Zulu puts the ball into the danger area from the left, but Sandilands gathers.
SAVE! Mulenga breaks free of Ntiya-Ntiya on the flank with a lovely bit of skill and sets Pule up for a free header with a cross. However, Pule fails to rise above the ball properly and Akpeyi comfortably collects his effort.
Chance for Motshwari to shoot from close range... but he's blown up for handball inside the Kaizer Chiefs box. Makola then comes on for the Buccaneers in place of Mlambo.
Ndengane picks up a yellow card for his foul on Billiat. Pirates' frustration and desperation is perhaps starting to show a little bit.
Katsande comes on in place of Castro now for Kaizer Chiefs, with Ernst Middendorp presumably looking to tighten up in midfield.
CHANCE! Pule has an opportunity to shoot from inside the box, but badly miscues his effort. The Buccaneers' shooting in this game has left a lot to be desired.
This game has really opened up in the second half. We're seeing some highly entertaining end-to-end football. Mulenga is on in place of Nyatama for Pirates, who are chasing a winner. He came on a few minutes ago.
Pirates are desperate to find a way back into this game. Lorch sees his effort blocked behind for a corner. He then delivers the ensuing set piece, but it's cleared away from danger.
Cardoso picks up a yellow card for his foul on Pule. This game is really heating up in the second half.
CHANCE! Parker picks out Billiat with a lovely ball from the right. The Zimbabwean can't quite put it into the net under pressure from Sandilands. He fires off target.
Kaizer Chiefs look to hit Orlando Pirates on the break after the Buccaneers' free-kick is blocked. However, a poor pass sees the move cut out.
GOAL, CHIEFS, CARDOSO! 1-0: Cardoso steps up to take the spot-kick and sends Sandilands the wrong way, rolling it into the net. Amakhosi are in front!
PENALTY! Kaizer Chiefs have been awarded a spot-kick, against Mbekile, who also picks up a yellow card for his foul on Billiat! The Zimbabwean perhaps exaggerated the contact, but Mbekile didn't get the ball.
CLOSE! Parker's powerful long-range effort only just misses the top corner of the net. To be fair, Sandilands was well-positioned and probably had it covered.
Hadebe crosses into the danger area from deep on Kaizer Chiefs' left, picking out Castro, but the Colombian can't get above the ball and properly control his header.
Moleko picks up a yellow card for a poorly timed challenge on Lorch — Kaizer Chiefs' first booking of the game.
KICK-OFF! Kaizer Chiefs get the second half underway. Amakhosi made a substitution over the break, with Zulu replacing Mashiane.
We're into two minutes of stoppage time at the end of the first half at FNB Stadium. There have been a few injury stoppages so far, so it could probably have been a little longer.
HALF-TIME: KAIZER CHIEFS 0-0 ORLANDO PIRATES. Still no score at FNB Stadium. There have been opportunities at both ends, but neither side has been able to break the deadlock. Stay tuned for the second half.
Chiefs enjoy a promising spell on attack, but it comes to an end as Castro is blown up for offside. Marginal call, that.
Shonga picks up the first yellow card of the game for going into a challenge on Ntiya-Ntiya with raised studs.
Maluleka gives the ball away to Lorch in a dangerous area of the pitch, but Lorch takes too long to release a pass to a team-mate and is ultimately dispossessed himself.
Chiefs are knocking the ball about at the back. They need to find a way through this Pirates defence again. The Buccaneers have grown more solid as the game has progressed.
CHANCE! Pule crosses from Pirates' left, but Shonga fails to meet the ball on the stretch. The Zambian should have done better there. It could have been a golden goalscoring opportunity.
Pirates are still looking for that long ball in behind the Kaizer Chiefs defence. They've come close to pulling it off a couple of times, but haven't quite been able to send a player through one-on-one.
Bernard Parker attempts to cross into the danger area from the right, but miscues his ball in. Chiefs aren't finding it as easy to break Pirates down as they did in the first few minutes.
Hadebe is awarded a free-kick in the middle of the park against Nyatama. Pirates are incensed — they feel the foul should have gone the other way. Both players are receiving medical attention after the 50/50 challenge.
With 20 minutes down in the Soweto Derby, Wayne Sandilands has certainly had more to deal with than his counterpart, Daniel Akpeyi. However, Pirates have showed flashes of brilliance going forward.
Sandilands unconvincingly palms Parker's long-range shot away. Billiat is there on the follow-up and tries a bicycle kick, but he can't get his effort on target. Sandilands really doesn't look himself at the moment.
Sandilands is back on his feet and he's playing on. He gets the game back underway. Orlando Pirates ought to hope he isn't dazed after that knock.
Parker creeps in behind the Pirates defence, forcing Sandilands to rush out. The two men collide and the goalkeeper goes down. This looks worrying for Sandilands, who at least forced Parker to hit the side-netting.
CHANCE! Motshwari is set up for a shot by Lorch, but he is denied by a brilliant block. Mlambo fires off target on the follow-up. Pirates are looking increasingly threatening.
Shonga is played in behind the defence by Nyatama, but the offside flag goes up. That's just a little bit of a warning sign for Ernst Middendorp's men though — they need to be careful.
Kaizer Chiefs have done most of the early attacking, but Pirates are growing into this game gradually. Chiefs are playing with a high line, which means that they risk being caught out on the counter.
SAVE! Chiefs have started positively and Billiat is able to force the first save of the match out of Wayne Sandilands. The goalkeeper tips his effort behind at the near post.
KICK-OFF! Referee Abongile Tom blows his whistle and Orlando Pirates get the Soweto Derby underway!
