Cape Town - Orlando Pirates are on the verge of announcing Stephen Keshi as replacement for Eric Tinkler as coach.
Since Keshi signed to Tim Sukazi's local agency, the former Nigeria senior national coach has been linked with a move to the Absa Premiership.
According to Soccer Laduma, there has been no indication of changes at Pirates, but a disappointing season could force the hand of chairperson, Irvin Khoza to make a change in the technical team.
The Buccaneers failed to win the CAF Confederation Cup final against Etoile du Sahel while SuperSport United recently brushed aside Tinkler's charges in the Nedbank Cup final.
An unnamed source confirmed that Keshi will soon be announced as coach of the Parktown club.
"I can confirm to you that yesterday evening Keshi received a call from a high-placed staff of Orlando Pirates congratulating him on the job, all things been equal it will be wrapped up before the end of this week," said the anonymous source to OwnGoalNigeria.
