French keeper 'fit and ready' to make Pirates debut

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Joris Delle has declared himself fit and ready to make his debut for the Soweto giants.

Delle joined the Buccaneers after being released by Dutch side Feyenoord before the current season but has revealed he picked up an injury in training.

The French shot-stopper also spoke about he is adapting to the Orlando Pirates style of play.

"It was also part of the adaptation. We try to build up because the goalkeepers are involved in this situation to suit the game plan," Delle told the club's official app.

"Now I am fit and ready to come into the team. It's only the decision of the coach and I respect that because it's not my part.

"I only need to focus on my work and the time will come for me to make the team."

The 29-year-old Delle is ready to help the Buccaneers get back on the winning trail as they prepare to face Chippa United in a league clash on Saturday.

Delle continued: "Of course, I will try to give my contribution, but the most important thing for us is to actually win.

"My part is to make sure the team doesn't concede goals. With clean sheets, we can get results and that is my ambition when I come into the team."
