CT City not interested in unwanted Lebese

Cape Town - Out-of-favour Mamelodi Sundowns winger George Lebese is reportedly not a target for Cape Town City in the January transfer window.

Lebese will be allowed to leave Sundowns during the January transfer window either on a loan switch, or on a permanent deal.

Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has admitted that things have not worked out for the forward since his arrival from Kaizer Chiefs in August 2017.

Mosimane has given the green-light for the 29-year-old to depart although at this stage it appears City won't be his next destination.

A source told the SowetanLIVE website: "His name has not been mentioned even once, but you never know. Let's wait and see."

In addition, the player has also expressed an interest in returning to Chiefs during a recent question and answer session on his official Instagram account.

However, it remains to be seen whether or not the Glamour Boys have any intention of bringing back their former star.

Lebese has not played a single minute of first team football in 2018/19 and seemingly he has to find a club this month in order to revive his flagging career.
