FULL-TIME: CHIPPA UNITED 2-4 KAIZER CHIEFS. Amakhosi are through to face TS Galaxy in the final! Having led 1-0 at half-time, they were put on the brink of elimination by two goals against the run of play. However, they rallied back for a deserved win!
Rhulani Manzini comes on for Chippa United in place of Lentjies as Coach Clinton Larsen goes for broke.
GOAL, CHIEFS, BILLIAT! 2-4: Maluleka tees Billiat up for a speculative long-range first time hit. However, the Zimbabwean star makes it look like an easy finish. What a goal! Surely a contender for goal of the season!
GOAL, CHIEFS, PARKER! 2-3: Billiat's low cross from Kaizer Chiefs' left picks out Parker and he slots home! Amakhosi have one foot in the final!
A nervy moment for Bvuma: He spills Mbenyane's long-range shot, but fortunately not over the line or into any danger. The young goalkeeper recovers.
Zuma looks to wriggle free and shoot inside the box but his effort rises over the target. Chiefs attack again and Billiat gets the shot away but Mzimela makes a good save.
Manzini picks up a yellow card for a professional foul, taking one for the team.
GOAL, CHIEFS, ANDRIANARIMANANA! 2-2: Dax equalises for Kaizer Chiefs! Zuma's cutback picks out the Madagascan and he slots home a crucial goal! Just a reminder that there has to be a winner tonight.
Substitution time for Kaizer Chiefs: Ntiya-Ntiya comes on in place of Hadebe.
Chiefs pile on pressure as they look to get back level. Amakhosi need to be wary of leaving themselves open to the counter.
GOAL, CHIPPA, MANZINI! 2-1: How on earth? It's the cross from the right again. This time, it's Rakhale who delivers and Manzini who slots home from close range! Chippa United take the lead!
Hadebe picks up a yellow card and gives Chippa United a free-kick in a dangerous area.
Billiat looks to wriggle free, but isn't quite able to. He tees up Andrianarimanana, but the Madagascan international's shot is blocked!
GOAL, CHIPPA, MBENYANE! 1-1: Against the run of play, Mbenyane meets a cross from Makobela on Chippa's right and heads past Bvuma for the equaliser!
CHANCE! Wonderful passing from Kaizer Chiefs! Billiat looks to slot the ball home at the end of the move but his shot goes just wide!
At the other end, Parker tries a long range shot too. That's a much better strike, but he fires over the target.
Rakhale goes for goal from a long way out but fires far off target — high and wide. The frustration is clear on his face.
Andrianarimanana goes for another long range shot. Plenty of power on it, but too close to Mzimela, who makes the save.
Cardoso knocks Manzini over as he rises for the aerial challenge. The Kaizer Chiefs defender picks up a yellow card.
Zuma picks up a yellow card for his challenge from behind on Tlolane. The Kaizer Chiefs goalscorer has had an eventful game to say the least.
Parker's crack at goal is blocked but it doesn't take long before Chiefs have another go. Mzimela is forced into a good save. However, Chippa counter and Manzini fires wide of the target. What a dramatic start to the second half it's been!
The onus is on Chippa United at the moment but Chiefs are still doing the vast majority of the attacking.
KICK-OFF! Makobela comes on in place of Nsabiyumva for Chippa United while Gamildien replaces Malama. Once that's done, the match gets back underway in Port Elizabeth.
It takes only about 21 seconds for Dumisani Zuma to have another crack at goal after being set up by Parker. Mzimela pushes the ball away with his knees at the near post.
We're into just one minute of stoppage time at the end of an entertaining first half.
HALF-TIME: CHIPPA UNITED 0-1 KAIZER CHIEFS. It's been a Nedbank Cup semifinal which has lived up to all expectations. Chiefs go into the break deservedly in front thanks to a goal from Dumisani Zuma. There could have been more goals at both ends.
Rakhale links up with Lentjies, who looks to pick out Manzini, but Bvuma intercepts. Lentjies looks lively although he hasn't quite executed his ideas as planned so far.
Chippa United are looking to gather some momentum of their own now. They defended well in the early stages but they still haven't created much apart from that Rakhale chance.
GOAL, CHIEFS, ZUMA! 0-1: Billiat's defence-splitting pass is spilled by Mzimela, allowing Zuma to slot home easily. A welcome confidence booster for the substitute. Mzimela was solid up until that but was bound to crack eventually!
And now Billiat goes for goal from just outside the box. Mzimela makes the save. Chiefs have been restricted to mostly speculative long range efforts.
Andrianarimanana takes a long range shot at goal but this one is a tame effort and rolls behind safely. Nevertheless, he has been one of the brightest players so far.
Cardoso is once again the man who looks to get behind the set piece and turn it in but fails to do so. Goal-kick for Mzimela.
Lovely passing from Kaizer Chiefs unlocks the Chippa defence at the other end. Nsabiyumva recovers and scrambles the ball behind for a corner.
Malepe goes directly for goal from a free-kick but it's high and wide. Plenty of punch in that strike, but not enough accuracy. Chippa United are growing into the game though.
CHANCE! Chippa United catch Chiefs out on the breakaway through Rakhale. He's in space on the left but can't get the cut-back to a team-mate. Good defending from Moleko to get in the way.
Nsabiyumva picks up Chippa United's third yellow card for a reckless late challenge. Once again, it's clearly the right decision from Thando Ndzandzeka.
Katsande goes for goal from long range but fires well wide. It's a familiar story for Kaizer Chiefs: plenty of chances but not the greatest of finishing. They need to put one of these opportunities away.
Macheke pulls Billiat back and picks up a deserved yellow card. With that comes a suspension for Chippa United's upcoming Absa Premiership match against Mamelodi Sundowns.
Shitolo puts another nasty challenge in on Zuma and the yellow card comes out this time. The only surprise is that it didn't come earlier.
Maluleka chips the free-kick in but Shitolo gets his head on the ball and Mzimela collects.
Billiat looks to break free for Kaizer Chiefs but Shitolo commits the foul to stop him. Perhaps Chippa are lucky that's not a yellow card. In any case, it's a dangerous free-kick.
A horrible blow for Kabelo Mahlasela as he is forced off injured. Dumisani Zuma is the man on in his place.
Chippa United lose the ball in a dangerous area and Chiefs are onto them in a flash. It's Maluleka who gets the shot at the end of the move, but it's a tame effort. At the other end, Macheke lets fly but fires well over the target.
Chiefs are doing most of the early attacking. Billiat is allowed to shoot at the back post as Shitolo fails to deal with the ball. However, he gets the block in.
It's been a good start to the game with both teams playing exciting football. Katsande wins a free-kick in midfield for Chiefs. He's often the one who dishes out crunching tackles, but he's on the receiving end this time.
Good start from Kaizer Chiefs. Andrianarimanana goes for a long-range snapshot. It goes over the target, but only just!
KICK-OFF! Referee Thando Ndzandzeka blows his whistle and Kaizer Chiefs get the match underway at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of this eagerly anticipated Nedbank Cup semifinal between Chippa United and Kaizer Chiefs at Port Elizabeth's Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
KAIZER CHIEFS STARTING XI: Bvuma, Moleko, Hadebe, Cardoso, Mphahlele, Katsande (C), Maluleka, Andrianarimanana, Mahlasela, Parker, Billiat. SUBS: Petersen, Booysen, Ntiya-Ntiya, Frosler, Moon, Zuma, Castro.
CHIPPA UNITED STARTING XI: Mzimela, Macheke, Nsabiyumva, Shitolo, Tlolane, Malepe, Lentjies, Rakhale, Malama, Mbenyane (C), Manzini. SUBS: Mothwa, Komane, Makobela, Manzini, Twala, Gamildien, Mayambela.
This is the stage of the Nedbank Cup at which Kaizer Chiefs infamously fell short last year. Their semifinal against Free State Stars ended in a 2-0 defeat to Free State Stars and fan violence at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
Last year's semifinal loss prompted the resignation of coach Steve Komphela. This season, Chiefs can make amends under Ernst Middendorp and book a spot in the final against TS Galaxy, who heroically beat Golden Arrows.
Ironically, Moses Mabhida Stadium will host the Nedbank Cup final and so Kaizer Chiefs will have the chance to put some horrible memories to bed should they make it through.
